Junior Trampoline is a programme which teaches the basics of trampolining, tumble trampoline and double mini trampoline, whether it be for fun and safety on the backyard trampoline or with the goal to progress into our competitive training squads. Classes are for children aged 5+ and are held for 1 or 1.5hrs.
(For our 30 minute "Junior Jumper" trampoline classes for age 2-5, please refer to our preschool page). All classes are taught by certified instructors with first aid certification. Trampoline badge testing is done during class time. Gymnasts must master individual skills, as well as a 10 skill routine, in order to complete a badge. Priority re-enrolments start each term around week 8.
You must re-enrol to keep your space in class.
Classes are based on age, then ability. All gymnasts taking school aged trampoline classes will be eligible for trampoline badge testing. Badges start with basic skills at Red and Blue badge; working up to front and back somersaults at Green and Yellow badge; and onto complex skills and combinations (Purple, Black, Orange, Brown & White). Badge testing in occurs in class time, at the coaches discretion.
What to wear:
- Clean, white socks are required to be worn to all sessions. Please name your socks.
- Children should participate in shorts and a t-shirt or a leotard. - No skirts, belts, buckles, zippers, wrist watches or belly button rings are to be worn, as they can catch on the trampoline bed or springs.
- Long hair must be tied back.
