Frequently Asked Questions Who is this for? All Junior Gymnastics, Advanced Junior Gymnastics & Regional Competitive (GymSports), Pre-Comp (WAG). Is my child ready for this? Yes! this comp is specifically for our Junior Gymnastics children. Your child will only be competing against other children in the same stage (Level) as them. Every child receives a certificate with ribbons for every apparatus. Also medals for overall winners. How will they know what to do? We will be learning the routines in class time and a copy of your child’s routines is available from reception. How do I know what level/stage my child is in? You can find out which stage your child has passed on your parent portal, or if you are new this term, or have never been tested before please ask at reception. Do I have to arrive early on the day? No. Please only arrive 5-10 minutes before your session starts. Head upstairs and wait to be called down for a group warm up. What does my child wear? If your child has a leotard and wants to wear it they can, or shorts and firm fitting t-shirt is fine. Do I have to stay? It would be great if you could stay and support your child. They will be competing 4 different apparatuses. A small routine on bar, beam, floor and vault. They will stay in a group and move around like a normal class with a coach. What if my child forgets what to do? There will be a coach going around with each group who can be on the floor beside your child and can remind them what to do. How do I sign up? You should receive an email in which you can click accept to enter. Please see reception if you don’t receive this. This is a fun competition and a chance for your child to show you their gymnastic skills. This replaces our stage testing for Term 4. |
